Stars & Snowguns

DB_Gallery

Besides being laod, night time snowmaking can be quite beautiful. This shot taken with a 20-35mm @2.8 and shows a bit of spherical abberation (little flares theat get worse at the edges or corners). The 17-352.8S has almost toally eliminated that problem. There are shadows in the plume from pine trees.

I just thought that the lack of color in what I saw made black and white the right awnser for this scene.

Black and white really ADDS to this shot.

Almost looks as if they are "spraying" the stars onto the black night sky. Kinda' unreal.

Especially like the way you captured the constellation Orion (the Hunter) so prominently.

The brightest constellation in the sky, it's easy to spot !
