hstelljes 41 Posted February 19, 2017 The young lady strolls near the theater on Block Island (which is off the coast of Rhode Island...12 miles). Your thoughts and comments and admiration are all most welcome. Thanks for looking. Link to comment
Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted February 19, 2017 I long for summer, to dress in loose clothing and flip flops again. Well done my friend, well done Link to comment
Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted February 19, 2017 BTW -> I have been laying low on the "new" site, if fatigues me so much I can only handle it for short bursts of time. I will wait until this site becomes user Tony friendly Link to comment

Not Here 93 Posted February 19, 2017 Holger: I'm not sure I can comment until I flush the image of Tony wearing a sack dress and flip flops out of my mind! ;-). An interesting old building/theatre on it's own, but my attention and curiosity was immediately captured by what looks like a small bride/groom figurine in the top left window. After closer examination I guess it's the reflection of an adjacent steeple, but it got me going. Good shot... Mike Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted February 19, 2017 Mike great comment, as it would be there is a church very near this theater, now it's probably got nothing to do with the the figurines in the window (great observation)but the irony is there. Thanks again, see you soon.........Holger Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted February 20, 2017 Thank you Eystein, it does have a quaint charm, especially if you saw the rest of the island.................Holger Link to comment

Bill J Boyd 65,289 Posted February 21, 2017 Holger...this is a good capture of a unique theater. I hate the big megaplexes and this seems quite charming. Good eye to catch this scene....BR, bb Link to comment

Landrum Kelly 65 Posted May 30, 2017 Very appealing photo, Holger. There is a certain freshness in the whole scene, set off even more by the presence of the young woman. This is truly excellent work. --Lannie Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted September 12, 2017 Impressive capture Holger. I think that has to be one of the oldest movie theatres I've seen - but so good to see the old building given a 'beauty' treatment and functioning for the locals. Excellent POV - the woman adds to the image - nice work ! Link to comment
