Ken Ratcliffe 104,379 Posted February 9, 2017 Holger, nice monochrome image with great tones and light. Like the PP which adds to the mood and interest. Best regards Ken. Link to comment
sarah_mcnulty 5 Posted February 10, 2017 Hi Holker, great title for this image. An atmospheric capture - looks a spooky place to be! Sarah. Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted February 10, 2017 Ken, Marie, Sarah and J, Thanks very much for looking and your kind comments. The Spindly Woods lead right down to the waters of the Raritan Bay. This image was actually taken late day but with a little pp in nik I thought this looked more like early morning. Thanks again, see you soon. Holger Link to comment
Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted February 10, 2017 Hey! You made it to the new site, congrats! Such drama for early morning here in Groovyville. Well done my friend, keep up the great work. Link to comment

Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted February 10, 2017 Holger, Well, I made it to your image....learning this new site. This image is all about tone and light. You handle both well here. I also think the diminishing size of the trees moves the eye through the image nicely. I might experiment with opening the shadows in the foreground to see if there is detail here that you want included. Just a thought. Thanks for your comment on my old Newfoundland image. GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted February 12, 2017 really effective image Holger. Amazing atmosphere - almost a bit ethereal. I have to admit I am lost here, I don't know if I can send a message to anyone - yes I will give it a chance but I have been on a couple other photo sites and they are newer design but so much easier to manouver. I used to list my Tech Info manually and now that is all gone........... :( but I will try to keep smiling! Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted February 12, 2017 Hi Gail and thanks for the visit, yes this new site will take getting use to and I don't like that some things are missing from the old. The whole point of this photography and social interaction regarding same, well they seem to have the imaging part down pretty good but I can't find where someone responded to a comment I left and little things like that. Hanging in there. It's always great to hear from you. Take care. Holger Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 10, 2017 A very nice picture, Holger. Early morning seems to reveal the soul of things that is not apparent when the sun is higher in the sky. I notice this is a picture that was originally posted earlier. I've seen a number of such re-postings within the community of photographers I follow and wonder what explains this phenomenon Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted November 10, 2017 Hi Jack and thank you very much for the great comment. I'm a little confused by the re post part of your comment, as I don't recall re posting it, I'm thinking it's the new PN featured photos section, I guess that is sort of a re posting of earlier images. Regardless I thank you for the visit, see you soon..............Holger Link to comment
