I met Fritz on a walk down the river behind my work. He was proud of a

tree he took down the night before to add to the dam his clan was building

downstream.

I am not posting this under "nature" because it is today a more commonly

occurring interface of where nature meets modern industrialism.

Really fun photo! I love the framing, the implied story (that must have made quite a splash when it came down), and the look of haughty triumph on the face of the beaver. I'm also enjoying how the beaver's colors match those of the late lamented tree--I did a bit of a double take when I realized that one tree stump was a beaver.
