i’m an old beach bum, and never caught on to the charm of the hostile winter, as many others have. I don’t get what is there to celebrate feeling so cowed by just walking about, feeling everything shrinking dramatically, noticing most other kindred hot blooded critters cleverly migrated or now hibernate just so to survive… So what’s left for a man to do but go out with camera in hand and frame the still cold beauty all around?

and that's what this clean photograph is all about David, simple strong and technically accomplished and with terrific separation in tone --- even the whites are beautifully nuanced and add mucho character to this deceptively unassuming winter image --- cold, uninviting and beautiful!

This old home may be vacant but the tracks in the snow tell me it's not forgotten.  Yes, so clean, with fine detail and pure tones... Mike

What a lovely scene; beautifully framed and composed. I would love to sit inside warmed by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate warming my hands! Thank you for sharing! 🙂
