i've seen many of your coloured photos and they are fantastic! something i'm constantly striving to reach. this black and white scenic is excellent. the median again right down the centre of the frame, and the shadows are well exposed.

This is outstanding, and the composition is excellent, the circle made by the reflection of the mountain makes this shot very interesting.

Composition and subject look great, if not super original, but the picture looks way underexposed on my monitor (which is balanced using Adobe Gamma). Most of all I can barely see any detail in the shadows. Maybe that's because the shot was made on Velvia, which is a great film but is far from having the dynamic range of negative B&W (and what you don't have on film cannot be recovered in PS).

7/7: I don't know how you could have improved this. I love the way this image fills the screen; great composition. I like the fact that you resisted the temptation to put in excess amounts of sky and lake. I'd be intersted in seeing what it looks like printed a little lighter, but that might just be my monitor.

Great job converting to B&W. You might want to also try using the Hue/Saturation control to colorize and convert to sepia.
