Deer just behind the house -- bitter cold, so I snatched up the

camera and shot through the window. Forgot I had it set up for

monochrome, kind of like the result.

This is an intriguing image because of the way the light and dark areas create a composition. The negative space between the heads becomes an element. I want to increase the shadow detail for some texture on the shoulders of the nearest animal, and some detail in the face of the one behind. I find the right and left edges of the frame distracting on the left, and uninteresting on the right. A square crop would make for more impact. That eye is wonderful, and brings it all together. An excellent grab shot!

Phil, thanks, excellent call on changing to a square crop.  I will put a quick edit and crop in the gallery -- take it into Elements and see if I can do better later.  BR, Sandy
