Aside from my standard high regard for your work, I am quite impressed by the way you have done the composite. You have used it to get greater dynamic range, but have done so only to the extent that the photo reproduces what people's eyes see when looking at such a scene.

 

You set such a high bar for producing photos that are true to "what was there."

Need just a little better exposure on those canoes up there in the shadows. This is where double exposure comes in handy. First expose for the sky and then canoes, then tie them together with a nice little twist.

Very well done, took me a while to figure out what that yellow figure was - a canoe! Very beautiful sky and resulting reflections. Congrats!

More detail in the shadows would help this.

Mark, very nice tones - I like the gold and the darkness that you;ve managed to keep - very nice contrast and lovely composition.

I took a quick look at all your photos, very nice. When I look at this photo it seems unbalanced maybe due to the exposure of the right shadow area. I appreciate the work done to get the exposure as good as you have. But compositionally I see little need in the right half of the image. Crop out everything a bit right of the water and I like it much better.

Left is real nice. Too dark at right. Maybe crop it off?
