Sad commentary on the nation. The saddest part is that Trump himself cynically exploited the hatred and racism of a hitherto silent majority, bringing to the fore and glorifying buried and impure emotions the same way a pornographer resurrects and preys on suppressed sexual urges.

Anti Immigration is not racism. The majority of Muslims, Latinos, and the American "silent majority" (as you labeled them) are of the same race. Perhaps call it "prejudicial"? As for 'hate'.  Hate is a lot like love. You don't understand it until you have it.
