henry_ko1 0 Posted October 30, 2003 This was taken just before a storm arrived... no extra lenses or filters used. It was shot in Sepia Mode. I think it would be better if the tree was a bit sharper and prefer the roof of a house (at the bottom of picture) not be there... ps. I am a beginner so any positive suggestions welcome! DavidRabinowitz 9 Posted October 30, 2003 i'm wondering if the tree and background would look better a bit darker. I like the colors and mood it evokes. Link to comment
josealberto1 0 Posted October 30, 2003 great sky!!, may be you should de-center your subject Link to comment
tomsperduto 0 Posted October 30, 2003 I usually prefer the off center subject, but in this case I think it works. It adds to the lonely feel IMO. Link to comment
obscura 0 Posted October 30, 2003 beautiful interplay between the branches and the clouds. Link to comment
stever 0 Posted November 6, 2003 Hi Henry,I think you did very well with this photo! It's very evocative - makes me think of that old Credence Clearwater Revival song, "I See a Bad Moon Rising" ("... I see trouble on the way...")I don't really notice the rooftop, and the tree silhouette looks sharp enough to me - I think that since it's totally in silhouette, sharpness isn't too much of an issue with the tree. The two main elements - the great clouds (and the way they flow) and the lonely, naked tree, really make this photo. Great job! Link to comment
