Just really a beautifully weighed, perfectly balanced photograph. Classic in the sense that it echoes the wonderful work of the mid-century (20th that is) masters of photography. A winning picture in every respect.

This is really really good. I love the shy parents and the layers of depth and the expression of the boy.  A thoughtful composition. 6

No doubt, it is a great photograph... a classic with its own right.  It is well balanced and richly detailed with the in and the outside the door for an open separation but still close. I like the bond with the mum and her expressive kid, eyes wondering who' s this photographer? his hands on his mum's knees and the possessive maternal crossed hands, she is shy, happy through her eye. Perhaps Daddy sitting with an approving smile.  Great shot!
