agaudio 0 Posted October 29, 2003 absolutely stunning. Your still lifes are an inspiration to me. I love the deep red in this image along with the contrast it has with the black vase and plate. The lighting is pleasantly soft creates a set of wonderful shadows. What kind of light source did you use for this? Link to comment
og-vision 0 Posted October 30, 2003 Dear Anthony, It was a pleasure to know that my humble attempts to become a photographer might be an inspiration to someone else. :-) Thank you a lot!! It's nothing special in my lighting "technic", I used a portable desktop halogen lamp on flexible stand ($9.95 in K-Mart) with extemporaneous lamp-shade made of piece of thin white wrap paper - to make the light soft and scattered. There are some technical details from my camera: Lens: 18,0-55,0mm @ 47,0mm Exposure: 13 sec Aperture: f/36 ISO: 200 Thanks again! Olga. Link to comment

charodiez 0 Posted November 1, 2003 I love this type of minimal shots, and the red is simply amazing. Congrats Olga, and thanks for sharing with us how you lighted it. Link to comment
henry_minsky1 0 Posted December 6, 2003 These beautiful compositions inspire me to remember that for all the talk of nth-order effects of lenses and electronic flashes and digital vs. film, it is really about the eye of the photographer. You've made simple objects into whole stories and poems. Link to comment
