wespettus 0 Posted October 29, 2003 Again you've done, what you do best. I like the fact that her face is in silhouette. The technique you use gives you so much control. You titled it "life" and I see the model holding her stomach, is she pregnant? And assuming she is, it's a interesting view showing the beginning of life on the left with the end of life on the right. Link to comment

daniel vinklars lefteye. 0 Posted November 3, 2003 you are a GENIUS! (though, if I may, I would have liked the version without the skull better) best regards, daniel Link to comment
alan_schwartz1 0 Posted December 2, 2003 The lighting brings to lifethe balence between life & death. I think it's terrific. What really makes this image work miracles for me are the textures of her dreadlocks and the skull. Sexy and mysterious! Alan Schwartz Link to comment

hagar 7,641 Posted July 15, 2007 Great lighting, and a very imaginative and wonderful composition. I don't think I've ever seen a woman hold her hands in that position unless she was pregnant or had a stomach ache... considering the title, and the skull in the background, I wonder which it is... JatinderKeith 0 Posted July 15, 2007 I don't think she is pregnant or suffering an ache. I don't see it as a nude or even a picture of a woman. The photographer has conveyed it by silhouetting her face. The female body and her posture represent beginning of life and the skull, the end of it. The lighting of the skull does not present it as an object of horror. The lighting on the face does not present it as an event of joy or celebration. It presents two ends of life as a plain truth of nature, and not our perceptions. Emil, if this is what you intended, then it is a brilliant use of photography as a medium to express your perception of life. Link to comment
