GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted October 4, 2016 Pleasing capture Jamie - what a wonderful way to spend an evening. Nice detail and blur - did you shoot at f1.8 for these shots?? Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted October 4, 2016 As I mentioned in another response a comment you left, this is waywayway my most expensive lens - Leica calls them 'Summilux.' It's a fantastic aspherical f/1.4! I use it wide open. For comparison, I took the image called 'fiddling' on which you left the comment: I like the Grain in this shot - suits it well and is not unpleasant. with a Canon 50/1.4 from 1957. That image is great, but it has a completely different feel. Thanks. best, j Link to comment
M_Lipakis 3 Posted October 11, 2016 Wait a minute Jamie, i think i have a comment written somewhere just for the occasion...., oh, here it is... Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted October 11, 2016 i delete pictures unless they have comments from at least two different people, so you have saved this one. pictures with comments from at least four different people i put into a highlights folder, which is what happened to that one. Thanks Michail. best, j Link to comment
M_Lipakis 3 Posted October 11, 2016 I haven't saved anything Jamie. I remembered your photo vividly so when i searched your name in all my comments list, there it was, the whole deleted image, fresh and shiny with my comment underneath. Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted October 11, 2016 just in one of the many hidden folders. i don't like to have more than about 100 pictures out at a time. Thanks again Michail. all best, j Link to comment
Jack_Maegli 1 Posted October 12, 2016 nice job blurring the background to focus on the subject. black and white is a good choice for this sort of lighting Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted October 12, 2016 Jack - You're right - the light in there is pretty orange. Thanks. best, j Pretending to be Pierre - What have you done with Pierre??? Link to comment
Jack_Maegli 1 Posted October 16, 2016 If you listen to the Beatles "Strawberry Fields Forever" backwards; at the end you can hear Ringo declare "I killed Pierre" Link to comment
