Kestrel and crows.

I propose these two images made in rapid sequence from my window. Very

often I observe this urbanized kestrel that has made his nest on the

building in front of my house. He uses as a perch this pipe gutter

from which to observe his prey. The very territorial carrion crows do

not tolerate his presence and try to attack him, but he does not care

and stays in place. Thank you for your comments

Very interesting behavioral shot here.  There is a lot going on but you have a lot of interesting shapes, wonderful pastel colors, and fascinating action.  This picture tells a story; which can be seen on the face of the Kestrel.  In my neighborhood, we have a lot of bald eagles and the crows do the same thing.  And like the Kestrel, the bald Eagles basically ignore the crows.

I love Kestrels - they are so beautiful. I am glad he is not scared of the crows - they really try to rule any birds that are in our backyard most of the time.  I like the play of light and shadow in this composition :)
