I thought the shadows were cool, not to mention the guy walkin his

dogs. Your thoughts and comments are always welcome, thanks for

looking.

Holger,  Good shot and nice day for a walk.  Agree about the lines and shades adding impact to the scene. Best,

Bill, Mike, Bachir, Tony and Patsy thank you for your comments and looking. This is one of several Delaware river bridges near Phillipsburg/Easton. That's my brother-in-law and good friend John walking his dogs, he brought me here to show me the river and scenes near the golden hour of the evening. I will revisit! Thanks again.

i keep returning to this picture, Holger... the sunlight is so drenching and fantastic, it keeps drawing me into this quaint little dog walk... ;-} dp

I agree with Mike re shadows and leading lines. I would like to add the human and animal interest which augments the appeal.  I see another possibility with a crop and then using PS shadow/Highlight command. I never claim mine is better - it is different and it is just to show another possibility.

All the best,

Tony I'm so sorry I'm late acknowledging your excellent comment on this image. I'm always delighted when an artist like you takes the time to show me an alternate way of looking at things. You are very helpful with your comments and suggestions and I want you to know it's greatly appreciated.

Best, Holger

I like the warmth that Tony's edit provided but I like how the sunlight appears on the bridge better in yours. Tony's seems to have some odd shadow or 'blown' quality to the brightest highlights.  Overall a pleasing street image that reminds me of a connection with everyday life. This bridge is very interesting as well Holger.

Thanks so much Gail for the look and write. I did see the hot spots in Tonys' version but like you said his crop was on the spot. See you soon.
