Lone Survivor

Just out of Black Diamond not far from my home they've done some

logging. This lone tree, probably left for environmental reasons,

sits on the top of a hill and I've photographed it many times. This

particular evening the clouds were very dramatic and I really feel the

B&W treatment lends to the drama of the scene. I can't help but feel

a little sad for this tree having lost all of his forest mates, I

wonder what tale he would tell if only he could? I hope you enjoy the

image and I value any and all feedback.

Craig,  I feel sad for the entire scene.  You document the environmental impact of logging well here.  The dire weather enhance the tragedy.  The tree is like a post that sends the environmental message.  Thanks for posting this image.  Larry
