critiqued photos Rocky Islands I

I'm trying to imagine where you found standing water at Great Falls. The reflections are nice, the line of rocks is appealing, and I like the muted tones in the background. Ideally, I would like to see some interest in the 'white' water and the composition seems a bit tight, especially on the left.

These rocks are only visable at very low water on the Potomac River

(just south of Great Falls). I waited for a foggy day to get some

separation from the background. Any comments or suggestions would be

greatly appreciated.

Nice contrast

A little too light and contrasty for me. I would like to see more subtle shifts in tone especially in the mid and lower range. I like the composition and the lighting but the print needs work.

The neg seems a little flat. I like the composition though
