I like the challenge of viewing a photo with unusual features, whether it's a high aspect ratio rectangle, or apparent spatial distortions, or whatever.  If the features are controlled or put to good use, the results can be great.  Sometimes panoramic views seem to just draw attention to the format.

In this photo, though, I'm mostly drawn to you and the darker left side.  On the one hand, here you are, frontal view and looking at the viewer, and on the other hand you are hidden by the dark shades and the cap, and your unrevealing expression.  A bit mysterious.

The words on the right side also attract my attention, and to me they seem to take away from the impact of your self portrait.  There is the division of light and dark between the right and left sides of the photo, which I like, but the light side might extend a bit too far.  Maybe with the words cropped off, it would become stronger.

Far out, Drew.  The curves still have me puzzled, this time resembling the effects of a fish-eye lens pretty much throughout.  I presume that built-in software allows you to control when and where the curvature takes place.
