tc_reed 0 Posted October 26, 2003 I think you chose your subject well but your timing for natural lighting was a little off. And, I mean a little. This is an excellent photo! The harsh reflection of light on the upper level is what throws the detail off. I realize it would be hard to get the side in the shadows to still stand out as well if you'd waited too long. Did you take only the one angle? Or, are there more from a little to the right and left? Just curious. Either way, well done! Link to comment
amateur 0 Posted October 26, 2003 T.C., thank you for your comment. I know the lighting is not perfect. Unfortunately, I am not very good with PS to adjust it. I do have some more images from a little different angles. I'll upload them sometime soon. Thanks again for the constructive comment. Link to comment
.kj. 0 Posted October 26, 2003 i have seen several shots of this gehry. this is at the top of the list. like the prev. comment - get the light down and you have a winner. i have found success (when working w/ sunlight) to take 3 pics of the same shot- 1 minus a stop, the metered stop, and 1 plus a stop. this often takes away the need for p.s. keep up the solid work. a-3.5 o-5 Link to comment
lee_tracy 0 Posted October 28, 2003 Well, we've all been taking pictures of this in the last few months. A lot end up being mediocre, but I agree with the others that this is definitely a better one, with a Great photo just being a bit less glare away. Link to comment
