dougs 0 Posted October 25, 2003 its lacks emotion, it looks like this little girl might be with some adults that are visiting the monument, she is however to young to have any emotional connection with any of the names on the wall, an older parent or a grandparent would have been really good. the feeling would have been real..just my opinion...regards Doug Link to comment
adrianhinojosa 0 Posted July 6, 2004 A child may or may not comprehend the meaning of death at this age but the image is no less powerfull. The white glove... children deserve to grow up innocent. The stone wall... these men deserve to be remembered. Some day she will understand and she'll remember her visit and hopefully she will remember how big the wall was, how small the names are and she will put it all together... Link to comment
dominiquedodge 0 Posted April 7, 2005 Whether the girl is emotionally connected to the names seems unimportant to me. I find the photo speaks volumes about the mess we've made of the world. A child this age shouldn't have to comprehend, couldn't possibly comprehend. Sorry if my comment doesn't make much sense but for me the photo is very emotional (and not for any connection with anyone listed - I was about this girls age when it happened). I think some playing around with PS Curves, dodge and burn might yield interesting results. thanks for showing this Link to comment
