Dear Andrey, thanks a lot for your visit to this portrait and your impression.

This is one single shot, the original negative is as it is shown here, except for the post-processing, which I've made according to my own taste :)

All seen with the eyes of "Laura Marco". Nor better, nor worse.

The tree is a century old olive tree! It's a real olive orchard. For me full of peace, meditation and calm.

That day, when I finished making the photos, I remember I didn't want to leave the place.

Kindest regards, Laura.

Ciaaaaao.

Dear Gianni,

Hands have higher lights than the rest of the body ... why? the reason is that according to me, they're the most important part of the composition, and in general of this image. I wanted that all the importance was placed on her hands.

My eyes definitely perceive this image in the way I'm showing, this is how I feel and want to recreate its atmosphere. There's nothing good nor bad about it; in fact I would not change anything in the portrait. My mind knows what it seeks: "...I sought to emphasize her hands, her forehead (thinking), also the warmth of the cap and the perspective of a large tree bark behind her, the bark of an olive tree, an important element, not to be missed when interpreting the whole scene, hand in hand with the title ... and finally the freedom to play with your imagination.

For me, beauty does not lie in the eyes, neither lips ... lies in thoughts and actions we can do every day (hands). Her hands seem dead, without blood, maybe previously tied, or still attached, or from someone who has been crucified, perhaps without life ... and life can only be in return in that place. This is my interpretation. This is how is seen with the eyes of Laura Marco. Then I share with you... that's all!. I, modestly, think that it's one of my most beautiful portraits: sweet, intimate and plenty of peace. Although it's full of lowlights (where my eyes are comfortable), there are details in every corner.

There are details of warm yellow in her cap around the hands. I do not know if I've responded well to your concerns. I'm glad about your question and interest;

Ciao, Laura :)
