The tree just seems out of place to me, it just jumps infront of everything else. Might just be me, still a good shot though.

I think the fake matting and the title "fall in the Mountains" being in a gold color that is obviousley extracted from the tree in the image is rather cheap. It makes it look like a poster, and I associate posters with cheap. I have framed a seriousley large amount of posters in my time, and therefore have seen a lot of general titles given to pieces/photos. I really think digitally framing your photos is tacky, and makes people take them less serious. A good photo can stand by itself, and needs no crutches. Keep up the good works though.

I agree and disagree with neal. Agree that light-colored frames rarely work well. However, adding frame usually focusing viewer on major subject much better and adds a completed look. My guess is that in this case pure black (maybe with thin white line) would be fine.

As for the image it's wonderful as many of your landscapes and definitely stands for itself. Simple, but nice. Excellent contrasting colors and feeling of the depth.

I like the subject, light and composition of this picture. I find it nice that the foreground tree is eventually dwarfing a bit the massive peak on the back, which attracts the attention once more on the foliage colours.

As far as the discussion on framing goes, the colours are nice enough to stand out in a simple black frame, and should the matter be important, I would also remove all these other colours from it.
