Thanks for the comments. The Japanese are very lyrical about cherry blossom season and the time in early Spring when the trees briefly burst into bloom before the petals flutter down and coat the streets, fields and streams of Japan like pink confetti. They look beautiful even floating in a polluted canal. Tony, thanks for your concern. No problem with safety. The quake happened in Kyushu and I'm in Osaka on the island of Honshu.

It must be so beautiful there with the ground and water covered in cherry blossoms.  The colours here are pleasing and the blossoms are scattered in a pattern that involves most of the inside of the frame.  Our eyes are not drawn to any one place. An overall pleasing image, presented well. (whenever I hear 'earthquake in Japan, I do think of you as well....)
