Things on the Road

Who would think that an abandoned cardboard box could become the subject of a skillfully crafted photograph?  Yet another interesting exercise in minimalism . . .

Glad you commented on this one. I was beginning to feel like a fisherman dangling a baitless hook in the Dead Sea. I think one of the growing problems with this site is that it has become increasingly predictable. Most of the people who might possibly have been drawn to a minimalist shot like this have decamped and headed off for Facebook or Twitter or private sites or wherever. As a community we are becoming more and more one-dimensional. So many inventive and creatively unorthodox photographers have left pnet in the last couple of years that I often wonder why I still stick around.

I'm still lurking around occasionally. This one caught my eye, Jack. There's a sense that the cardboard is robotically walking across the street, at least that's the story I made up about this one.
