Snoopy and the Red Baron. Classic Fighters Airshow.

What an outstanding catch! These things are so hard to catch. Great work!

Looks like Snoopy is about to get a lesson in dog fighting.

"Are you feeling lucky, punk?" I heard this voice say as I pressed

the shutter. Luck was a big element in this pic. Reasonably sharp for

a slow shutter speed with a long lens plus converter, framing and

timing worked out well too. No clouds in the sky, I haven't worked

out whether that is an advantage or disadvantage, there is nothing to

draw the eye from the airborne opponents. Comments welcome

Great!great! great! Red Baron against Snoopy! great shot! perfect framing and moment! I think it's difficult to make good shots with these subjects, long lense and teleconverter!

I agree, a great shot Erin -definitely no mean feat to time something this well. What altitude were these guys flying at? Were there any Australian infantrymen around to simulate the shoot down of the Red Baron? :-)

Thanks for the positive comments everyone, Albert, they weren't very high, I would estimate around 250 metres. No Aussie Infantry around, or Kiwis. Plenty of pretend Poms and Germans tho! ;-)
