Foggy day on the Potomac river. There were a thousand ways to

photograph this location. In fact, I met a guy there who has done

exactly that over the years. I couldn't decide where to put the tree in

foreground. I liked the tension here. What do you think?

Tony, I like the composition, but I think I might have gone with a long exposure to soften the water. Another alternative: Get close and use shoot through/past the tree, using it to frame one side of the image.
