PeterKrenek 26 Posted January 19, 2016 I captured this image with a friend, some time ago, while still in my Velvia 100F period. This is an old calvary in the central Slovakia. The access to the site was quite difficult, but the effort paid off. The path and buildings are illuminated with a LED torch. It was a night under a full moon, with clouds lit both by the moon and the neighboring city. This is a drum scan of a film slide. It was a wonderful, adventurous experience to shoot this. Your opinions and suggestions for improvement are welcomed. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted January 21, 2016 Peter, This is a most effective and eerie image. The mood relates to Halloween or a similar ghostly theme. You did an excellent job with the B&W conversion. Might there be a dust spot to clone out just above and to the right of the foreground structure in the black area of the sky? You saw this image well and, the presentation is superb. Larry Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted January 22, 2016 Thank you all for your comments!Larry, the spot is a star trail, so I did not consider cloning it out.Best wishes.Peter Link to comment
mtmellen 0 Posted May 26, 2016 Love this shot!!! This image has a very strong feeling to it. It is rather haunting and reminds me of a Halloween or a scary movie. Such images such as this elicit strong emotions and are very well thought out from the beginning. I like the trail that leads the eye through the image to the church on the top of the hill, the strong black and white contrast enhances the feeling to the image and the careful placement of the structures through out the image is perfect! Wonderful work!!!!! Best wishes...... Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted October 10, 2016 I just have comment your recent colour photo of the same site. I like this one too but I think I prefer the other, perhaps because of its night atmosphere. Link to comment
