Ken Ratcliffe 104,389 Posted January 19, 2016 Super landscape, looks a great place to visit. Like the colours and how the foreground "stands out". Nicely composed and presented. Best regards Ken. Link to comment
phillips 0 Posted January 20, 2016 Thanks for your viewing and comment. A real bonus for the trip was the great sky which followed a monsoon-like storm two nights before. Take care, Phil Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted January 21, 2016 I agree with Ken especially with the composition. Good shot. When you are not present and when nothing in the image can tell me with surety that an element is gray, one is left to guess whether the color balance is spot on. Of course, it does not have to be precise depending on how you as the photographer and artist wish to present this image to the viewers. So relying purely on a gut feeling and you know how accurate that is (*_*), it tells be that it may be a tad too blue and you may want to adjust by adding mostly yellow to the scene. Please do not interpret this as a negative comment since it was not intended to be that way. Most often we pass an image and say "Beautiful" and move on and with that there is less chance of offending anyone. So I am stepping out on a limb here. All the best, Link to comment
phillips 0 Posted January 21, 2016 I appreciate your time and interest and think your suggestion has improved the image-I've posted in my gallery the new version. I've been torn between trying to preserve the before dawn feeling of where I was and trying to bring out the tonal range of the foreground. I think that selective warming worked out well. Thanks again, Phil Link to comment
