I tried to find details between hard light and shadows.

I like get the control in front of the photo and background.

pipe bowl lost in blackness of background

Good setup, but the upward (off the page) tilt of the glasses looks posed, and not enough detail on the head of the pipe to make it easily recognizable... it distracts from the whole. Nice touch with the old book, though.
