pawel_stradowski 0 Posted October 15, 2003 Out of the last photos this one I like the most. I am really surprised what a good quality you manage getting out of negatives. Interesting picture. Congratulations Link to comment
kyang 0 Posted October 15, 2003 Even the subject is not very strong, the mood is good, the color is nice and the composition is effective. Pretty nice work, regards, Kurt. Link to comment
tcb.photo 0 Posted October 15, 2003 Nice photo. i like the sky and the DOF. The only thing that bothers me is the the tree is not straight in the photo. It gives a bit of a "tilt", but still a nice photo Link to comment
root 0 Posted October 16, 2003 The separation of the elements is good. I think I would be tempted to rotate so the trees are straight or skew them straight in PS. I also want to drag that stump out of the frame, mostly because I'm so used to seeing nature photos presented without the hand of man, but if you find that element pleasing, then I admit that it works well as a composition balancing the other two elements. biart 0 Posted October 16, 2003 I love the colors very vivid and fresh. for the composition, I would like to see the whole tree, but I know the angle is critical. Beautiful. Dobra fotka. dobar balans boja. Pozdrav. Biliana Link to comment
kkwan 0 Posted October 16, 2003 I think the composition is great. You obviously took care in composing this shot to avoid any mergers of the trees in the foreground with the ones in the back. The tilt of the tree does not bother me at all; the horizon is perfectly level, and the tree is naturally that way. I like the subtle colours in the sky and the stump is well-placed. Nice shot. carol_watson 0 Posted October 17, 2003 Your vantage point is perfect. I don't mind the tilt in the tree either. I bet it has a tilt due to years of exposure to prevailing winds.... Link to comment
margaret_s. 0 Posted October 17, 2003 I don't mind the tilt of the tree either, not all trees grow straight and that's part of their beauty. Personally however, I don't find the main subject of the photo particularly special. In a case such as this, I usually try to frame the image in such a way as to put emphasis on the composition rather than the subject or defer the attention to another element in the frame. For instance, you might try placing the tree on the far left of your frame and possibly putting more emphasis on the piece of driftwood instead. You could use a wide angle perhaps and shoot more from below. Just my own subjective opinion of course :-) Link to comment
bozovic 0 Posted October 26, 2003 Beautiful image! Really nice! I'd only like to see, never thought I would say this, a bit less contrast. But that's my personal opinion. Thumbs up pal! Link to comment
