Hi,

I'm looking for constructive criticism on this photo - don't need to be

positive, but please be polite and constructive.

Russsell,

Understand that I don't take portraits all that often. The ratings are low & I think I can shed some light.

1. First & foremost I couldn't tell if she was pregnant or not. The shadow of the open jacket gave that illusion. Kept drawing the eye there.

2. Horizon line right through the head. The tree in the background isn't big enough.

3. Your model looks posed, not natural.

4. There is some thing about the overall tonality of the image that looks wrong.

On the positive side

1. I think your model works in a rural setting (maybe different clothes?).

2. I like the washed out background, your model should match it.

3. You're working on a look in the outdoors. Far different & more challenging then a studio.
