AlainD 0 Posted December 19, 2015 Jökulsárlón, Iceland. 5 sec at f/11. Comments welcome! Link to comment
DavidTriplett 12,682 Posted December 19, 2015 Alain, I like this one, too. Unlike the previous, this one is scale-less, and does not need any additional elements to make it accessible. I can't tell if this ice block is 50 cm or 500 cm tall, and it really does not matter. I wish you had included the exposure data so I could tell how long your shutter was open. It looks long, but it might just be snow blowing in the wind. I love the very natural, blue monochrome effect. Also, excellent composition and DoF. Well done! Link to comment
JeffBryce 0 Posted December 19, 2015 This is quite mysterious. I'm guessing the shutter speed is about 2.5 seconds. Not sure if this is properly balanced though-- too many chunks on the right perhaps. But I like the swirly surf. Link to comment
AlainD 0 Posted December 20, 2015 Thanks to both of you for your comments! The information about exposure is just above (but not in the Details section): 5 sec at f/11. The white is foam on the water flowing back in the Atlantic with the surf. David: the iceberg in the foreground is about 150 cm high. Jeff: you're right, the composition is a bit unbalanced. I really have to travel there again ;) Link to comment
