A very nice original result, Alain!

Alain, I am very much enjoying your series on glacial ice on the beaches of Iceland. They are unique and beautiful. As for most of your images, this one has the strengths of excellent composition, a unique and engaging subject, shutter speed which emphasizes the main subject, and a very dynamic and active middle ground - in contrast to the still, "frozen" ice. I particularly like that the only real color in the image is the blue ice. That this appears to have been achieved naturally, rather than by manipulation, makes it even more engaging and impressive.

David: indeed, there isn't a lot of manipulation on this one (at least in my opinion...). Level adjustment, slight increase in global saturation during the RAW processing, and some desaturation of the sky because I didn't like its magenta-purple tint. I'll post the original JPEG. Thanks for the input!

I used to post images in comments on PN but things have changed and I can't find how to do it now. The icon "Insert/Edit image" leads to an URL... but I don't want to post the original JPEG anywhere else on the net.
