Beautifully captured with such a lovely 'dance' of light upon the tops of the Lavender.

Lovely colours in the sky, and the use of perspective on the bottom half is nice, though quite conventional. Technically, I cannot find much wrong with the photo.
But it doesn't work for me. The 50/50 division of the frame between sky and land is ultimately rather bland (not that I strictly believe in a rule of thirds, but it would bring dynamics that to me are lacking now). The purple colour of the flowers versus the orange of the sky isn't particularly appealing, or at least not to my taste. Where I could see the photo as a serene, calm scene of beauty, it's the colours that block me from enjying that approach to this photo.
So, to be brutally honest: a rather boring uneventful composition in colours that turn me off - I mean: it doesn't work for me.

My eye is too distracted by the HDR halo-ing along the horizon, and the unfortunate placement of the watermark.

Since we are in a rather brutal mood today;-) The water mark is in a terrible place, and makes what might otherwise have been a nice image almost inaccessible. I believe this contributes materially to the negative responses. The transition from ground to sky is terribly important, and the artificial disruption leaves us in the mood to find other faults, small though they may be. The perspective is clearly an intentional element, but would be stronger if it were not so rigidly centered. The obvious haloing is problematic. The colors may not be to everyone's taste, but they are emphatic, rather than washed-out. I prefer the clear statement which the colors make. I have to wonder what this image might have been with a much lower camera height, pointed a bit left or right, and a little less obvious manipulation? (Oh, and no stupid water mark.)

Pros: Pleasing ,almost iridescent color edges on the tops of the rows of violet hedges like patches of a palette knife on canvas.

Cons: A little too much symmetry overall. Plus that blazing circle of the sun. which dominates and draws away from the field , the most interesting subjects. Maybe if the sun were higher or clouded, hard to tell.

I like the iridescent purple and the sharp detail of the vegetation and of the rocks between the rows, but not much else. As Gerry points out, the viewer's eye is drawn immediately to the exceptionally bright sun, which is the brightest area in the frame. Besides, placing a watermark in such a prominent location has no purpose other than preventing copyright infringement (if it even does that).

I like photos exhibiting minimalism, but usually find that the most successful ones use assymetry or intriguing or unusual compositions and/or the use of positive and negative spaces in order to work. Here the subject is a bit minimal in content but it uses most of the frame and the main interest are the fine colors and tones as otherwise the centered and symmetric composition seems to me to be a bit bland and déjà vu.

The color purple is pretty, the yellow sky is sickly. Although purple and yellow are complimentary colors they seem not to work well in this case. I think a more natural blue with cumulus cloud filled sky would be more attractive and look more joyful. I also think looking at the rows angled rather than head on might as well be more interesting. I complain about the water mark too, not at all necessary imho.

The watermark is an abomination, and I don't much care for the HDR look to whole thing. It's a pity, because at another time of day or a different exposure, I might like it a lot more. I assume the photographer was trying to liven up an otherwise fairly straightforward shot of lavender fields.

I cannot avoid to say what others said: the watermark is crazy and should be punished by a life sentence! Jokes aside there is an intense, quite gothic mood in this picture that contrasts with the bucolic appearance expected from a scene of this type. The violet is to deep and the overall image is to saturated and, imho, underexposed. The composition is quite trivial and I cannot see any effort to render with creativity a scene that, as is, has been seen million times.
