Of ice, sand and time (2)

Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, Iceland. Please see "Crystal Ice Cave (2)"

in the same folder for a general view. Black sand got trapped in the

ice long time ago, and pressure pushed the air out of the ice, making

it transparent blue. Glacier movements put the finishing touches,

creating fantastic patterns. Comments welcome...

To me, this looks like an Icelandic horse's eye and mane.  Very cool!
