phillips 0 Posted March 28, 2016 Thanks Tony-The Alabama Hills area is near to a small town (Lone Pine) in the Eastern Sierras, and I was the fourth or fifth person in line to get this view-slipping and sliding and getting my body into shapes that my almost octogenarian body did not seem appropriate. I debated about the cropping, but I finally decided on this, as I liked the "flow"of the arch in the frame. In retrospect , I think a somewhat smaller focal length would have given both a sense of the arch and the background without cutting off the top of the arch. Well, I get to go back this summer.
