Thanks for the comments; I really didn't expect that much of a response to this picture. To me this picture kind of encapsulates my perception of modern city life. Nature is wonderful in its place just as long as its place is limited. We must respect nature and treasure it, of course, but we must understand the over-riding priority for the efficient use of valuable urban real estate. A couple of ornamental trees to break up the miles and miles of concrete, that should do just fine. I'm not sure that cities even build parks or playgrounds anymore, such a waste of profitable real estate.

Jack I don't have any images but you would be amazed at some of the rooftop gardens they are doing in NYC. Take care.

I've long been a proponent of rooftop gardens. They make sense on so many levels, especially in the concrete wastelands our cities are becoming.
