Thanks for the comments. It's a different world at this level and indeed that red light looks like Son of HAL, monitoring my every move. (I look down and see him studying me now with his beady little red eye). As for a stable foundation, with all my foot and leg problems this year, I'm a tottering wreck, limping around with a camera. And yes, Mark, that is a fan working overtime to keep this a borderline habitable space. Anyway, I like these kind of pictures simply because they are a seldom noticed configuration of our everyday reality.
