There was a photo series in the HuffPost that documented the debris washed ashore by refugees.  A doll, a passport, a purse.....lost stories.  This immediately brought that piece to mind.

Who?  Why?

Leafing through your images, I came across this. Having recently lost a pair of reading glasses while taking some images, it  brought that occasion back to memory and I wondered about the person who may have lost this delicate looking comb and what they were doing at that time.  Perhaps her name was Grace in which case and considering the time of year, I might have titled this  "Fall from Grace"

Hi Jack,

Shall I see this also as a metaphor on how much of our innocence remains visible through the dirt that we keep allowing to get over it? It just hit me as that.

Regards,

Thanks for the comments. Everything is a source of wonder if you take the time to appreciate its existence and its role - however small - in the world we create.

I love shots like this Jack. It's a mystery as to who it belonged to and how it got there. Your answer to the above posters is spot on.
