Link to comment
thomas_collins1 0 Posted November 28, 2003 A very special picture. What really makes this stand out as a natural, non-manipulated or Photoshop-created image is the floating debris in the upper right hand corner. Well done! Link to comment
Bien joue. Felicitations! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted December 4, 2003 I am not a great believer in the 'Buddy' system but I always look at the photos of people who rate mine. Generally I only critique photos that I see in the critique requests or that I chance upon. However, when you see a photo as good as this, it is difficult not to give a comment. I see it has a 3/3 rating.... I cannot understand why! Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted January 31, 2004 Echoing David's thoughts above. I have taken lots of reflection shots... but this one is somehow different,,, better! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 14, 2004 Very outstanding job, the best I've seen in reflection pictures Link to comment
wenger 0 Posted February 18, 2004 When I looked at this in the thumbnail I really thought it was a manipulated image. I was pleasantly surprised looking at the the large view where it became obvious that this was a straight shot. The crispness of the colors and the sharpness of the image are surprising for a reflection shot. The circular ripples and their placement on this otherwise glass-like surface make this. Very nice work. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted February 23, 2004 Very nice colours and the composition is original. Link to comment
blago 0 Posted February 24, 2004 Crisp reflection from calm water. A "standard" grab transformed with some nice touches in an exemplary reflection image. Someone threw a stone on the water just before the shot (or was it a fish? J) to add sound and motion, but also to emphasize in this way the tranquility of the scene. Then the photo was flipped vertically for the visual connection "a drop on the red roof" to be used. Nice work, Stephane. Regards. Blago Link to comment
robidooo 0 Posted February 24, 2004 You got it right Blagoy... I threw the stone just before pressing the shutter! Link to comment
alexandre_de_laet 0 Posted February 28, 2004 This is the same as mine, what are you trying to achieve here? Rgds. Link to comment
robidooo 0 Posted February 28, 2004 Alexandre, I'm not sure I understand your comment. Please explain. Also, why such a low rating, comparing to the average I got on this one? Thanks. Link to comment
rubens_abboud 0 Posted February 28, 2004 Superbe image! Belles couleurs... le toit rouge, le ciel bleu, le gazon vert. La reflexion et la goutte d'eau creent un ensemble tres original. Well seen and well composed. Link to comment
robidooo 0 Posted February 29, 2004 Fair enough. Thank you very much for your reply. Regards Link to comment
karl_cresser 0 Posted March 2, 2004 Brilliant. I love a good reflection picture, usually the puzzle is part of the pleasure. With this it reads at first like a standard architectural shot with nice harmony with the primary colours. The ripples suggest radio waves perhaps from the aerial mast of the building. tom_mcdonnell 0 Posted March 24, 2004 Superb shot...one of the best reflection shots I've seen. I too thought it was a PS product, but I see it now as a product of great timing... Link to comment
