I went up from the Torres Camp to the Base de las Torres at 03:00 h with a good torch. Took me some 75 minutes for the heavy backpack and my age. Fortunatelly I know well the path. Once above, a half moon had just come out and iluminated well the Towers. Some lightpainting with torch for the foreground helped a bit more. No Milkyway, which was up about 22:00 h. last night. In the foreground is the outlet of the lake, without ice. The lake, a few more meters away was frozen. The time of the shot was at 04:23 h wintertime (although we have now summer time all year round).

It was worth the effort to get up for the second time in this trip to the Lookout

of the Base of the Towers. Nice sky with lots of stars and a lot of cold.

Nightshots and waiting for the sunrise. Lake was frozen. Foreground

iluminated with red torch for a few seconds. In edition, red light edited in

yellow-orange. Thanks for Comments, Critiques and Ratings.

Wonderful colors and very vibrant image.  But, for me, the foreground seems "flashed"-- too bright and unnatural.  This is such a beautifully natural place, and so I think it could look better with the foreground toned down a tad.  I always admire all your images, especially from this place.  Regards, Jeff
