Self Portrait.

Set the camera on the tripod, auto-focused using the remote shutter release. Determining the correct exposure was tricky, atleast for a beginner like me. Getting the Canon EOS Elan 7 to focus in the dim lighting without looking in the viewfinder was also hard. The picture turned out to be better than I expected.

I think you did very well for a self-portrait. A lot of the ones I see are out of focus and not detailed. I'm not brave enough to even try.

The lighting is remarkable, especially considering that you had no subject on which to meter. The way your face melts into the darkness is dramatic. It's a powerful photograph.

I have cloned out the little part of the ear thats showing.

Nice. Any self portrait that doesn't involve the photographer shooting into a mirror is refreshing. Very well done.
