masede 0 Posted October 12, 2003 Set the camera on the tripod, auto-focused using the remote shutter release. Determining the correct exposure was tricky, atleast for a beginner like me. Getting the Canon EOS Elan 7 to focus in the dim lighting without looking in the viewfinder was also hard. The picture turned out to be better than I expected.Comments and suggestions will be highly appreciated.-Assad Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted October 12, 2003 I think you did very well for a self-portrait. A lot of the ones I see are out of focus and not detailed. I'm not brave enough to even try. Link to comment
neil_hoffman 0 Posted October 12, 2003 The lighting is remarkable, especially considering that you had no subject on which to meter. The way your face melts into the darkness is dramatic. It's a powerful photograph. Link to comment

roger_bacon 0 Posted October 12, 2003 Nice. Any self portrait that doesn't involve the photographer shooting into a mirror is refreshing. Very well done. Link to comment
