Ancient citadel

B&W is not my cup of tea... however inspired by the latest photo of

Larry Greenbaum I decided to have a try myself with this old photo

which I had never edited before. I'd like to know whether the B&W is

well calibrated and if you like the photo. Thanks in advance for your

opinion.

Good for you, it's always fun to try something new and b/w processing can be very fulfilling. 

I think overall your tones are a little flat, perhaps a bit more contrast would liven it up.  But overall this is good.  I've made some very subtle adjustments by setting white and dark points and added just a little contrast.  No other changes were made.  See what you think.... Mike 

Thank you MLM for your workshop. Yes, it's a bit better that way.

Actually the original file was even flatter and I had already increased contrast and increased whites and blacks. I could not imagine that it could be further improved.
