Dear Dana, I don't know if it's a "chaos of thought" or lighting and "flow of thought" because there's a transition between a gradient, strong shadows (above) to clarity (below); this difference that I perceive, it positively influences my vision of the image.

It surely transmits serenity in the end. Something like security.

The lines around her arms, remind me of ribbons carried by gymnasts. Ribbons subject to a cane waving in the air while they do the exercices. This confers dynamism, vitality, constantly moving.

I'm sure, she has got the answer "just put at her feet." With light.

Whatever the thought is about ... reality is presented there; order lies at her feet.

Very dynamic, good and well thought treatement of lights.

Congrats, con cariño, Laura.

Dana, this is another interesting motion piece. I, too, like the feet. The black "ribbons" bring a nice dimension to this one.

I do confess that I find the lack of easily visible facial features a bit disturbing. I don't think "disturbing" is always a bad thing, but as the viewer it makes me uneasy. Perhaps the Chaos of Thought title relates to this aspect of losing any clear direction or identity.

Another thought-provoking piece. Congrats!

Amy

Thanks Laura and Amy.

Laura.  I always find your comments interesting and you make me see my work in a different perspective.  I enjoy this interaction very much.  I hadn't really thought of the gradient but see it now.  Your interpretation of serenity/security is at odds with my initial feeling of the photograph but that is good.  I have to always remember that there is a 3 way interaction in every photo among the photographer, the subject, and the viewer.  Each one is essential.  I am pleased to have you as one of my viewers/critics/interpreters/friends.  con carino.

Amy.  I agree, the lack of a face is always a bit disturbing.  I think it is our first and lasting attachment to folks.  I sometimes struggle with titles and the chaos of thought idea was my impression from the shoot.  Trying to interpret the surroundings, the model, and my thoughts.  Every shoot is a bit of chaos for me because I don't like to have too much preconceived and like the work to evolve organically from my interaction with the model.

FYI.  The ribbons are actually graffiti.  The same graffiti that was in Kuau speaks his mind.  Pretty different, right?

All the best to you both.  I really value the input.  Dana...
