This is apparently a memorial of some kind - I took it on a college campus as part of a night photography ws. 8 seconds at f4 with wide angle.

I swore someone would say lose the streetlight in the background. Too bright or something.

Makes me think will-o'-the-wisp, personally (oh... how do you spell that?)

If somehow you could've worked in more, that effect would've been good. But as it is, you get the feeling this lone thing is mourning the loss of the graveyard monument. Okay, so maybe only I get that feeling, but I like it.

This is very moving, IMHO makes strong statement, as if to say "okay, who still mourns for the one marker that is knocked over". The fact that all of the markers are "unknowns", sans names even IMHO makes it stronger still...almost to say that this is the fate of the faceless masses, to have unmarked graves. I love this shot, I find myself randomly hopping in your various portfoilos instead of going to bed...I'll have to take more time to rate more of them, I saw some wonderful images, but have yet to rate or comment on them.

Anyway, again thank you, your work is a credit to this forum.

Can you imagine where this could have gone with large format? I just think it could have been much more powerful with everything in focus and with a changed perspective. A lot of options here. Printing could have been a lot better. That's not a criticism. There is so much going on here that doesn't show up because of the printing. I love this image. But it could have been much more than it is. Keep going.
