Jack McRitchie 150 Posted September 5, 2015 These last few images seem almost iconic in the most general, bland, suburban fashion. It's as if you stepped back and saw them coolly and without attachment. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted September 5, 2015 It's a desert out there, Jack. It's an almost featureless desert in its monotony and repetition. --Lannie Link to comment
AmyHelmick 0 Posted September 6, 2015 Again, the sky manages to be the subject here. Makes one weary of the city, just like we are longing to breathe.Amy Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted September 8, 2015 Yes, Amy, even small cities have too much pavement and too little green space--so here the only real escape is the sky. --Lannie Link to comment

Landrum Kelly 65 Posted November 4, 2015 Thank you, Steve. I didn't see your remark earlier. I am having trouble finding the "beauty in the banal" in this one. When the clouds and even the color of the stop lights are the only pleasing components (to any degree), then one has captured only banality--with little or no beauty in it.
