Almost un-you, but lovely and as always a fitting title. The curve of the path is just perfectly right, and I much like the detailing you kept in the grass (good B&W conversion, not always as easy with shots as these in my view).

Thanks as always, Wouter, for your well-expressed comment. I agree with you about the lovely curve of the path. I've always been fascinated by what lies over the next rise or just around the bend.

The little tuft of grass on the left gives a little sparkle, like a firework anchored to the ground.  I like how the sky seems luminous, especially the little dollops sunlight on the top of the clouds.  The tilt energizes the visual hike.

I don't know why, but I get the feeling that you've come down the hill and have turned back, looking and waiting for your hiking buddy to catch up. Maybe it's the tilt of the horizon, I don't know. In any case, there's a McRitchie spin to this nature shot.

I think this is an invitation to anyone who enjoys good photography and I like it for its simplicity and for the far side of "imaginary". The structure and composition are very well balanced in terms of lines , density and space.  Wonderful work!
