Evening in Suburbia

Amy, I much like the light in this photo, it is very effective and sets a great atmosphere, it's really the highlight of this photo (sorry, bad pun).

Wizards sometimes show up unexpectedly.

He certainly has a commanding presence, a wizard as Mark said. But I'm in the same camp as Wouter; it's the light that distinguishes this picture and I think it would be equally as effective without the neighborhood Gandalf.

Thanks all. I,too, liked the light- so much that I said: "Go stand over there, and look commanding". (Well at least part of that is true). Anyway, thanks for your comments.

Truly a worthy shot without him, as Jack said--but very mysterious with him in there.

 

Did you pick him up at a local bar or what?  Does he always wear a dress?

Without the man this would be an atmospheric work.  With the man it strikes me as cinematic.  A reluctant Bruce Dern with long hair, waiting as the protagonist approaches him to question him about a crime, a haunting, or a strange scientific experiment.
