jim_j2 9 Posted August 29, 2015 Hi Pierre, As always, . . . your excellent work excites the imagination and makes my mind get to working in mysterious ways! "The younger generations, although much larger in the overall scheme of life just blowing a lot of air in the direction of us older white haired remanents of times gone by!" That "blowing a lot of air" to me represents the younger generations being more interested in Video Gaming, watching TV (Especially You Tube), Texting, Tweeting, Face Booking etc., etc., while "puffing away" the older folks that spent much of their time using their hands. . . . maybe collecting and sewing buttons on an old knitted sweater! The only thing I see wrong with this is that the fine looking young boy knows how to wear a baseball cap properly! Surprised it's not on backwards! My fault I know, . . . but, . . . long time since I've actually logged in and spent any time here.Short visit but wanted to say hello to a few of my dear friends that I can still find here. Cheers & Regards always,Jim j. Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 312 Posted August 29, 2015 Welcome and thank you, Jim! A really excellent, keen observation you wrote my friend! The idea for this picture wasn't, unfortunately mine, the guy who ordered the "final product" meant it for his book for children cover image and it also wasn't his idea neither! But, you explained the full meaning of this picture to all of us! Thank you very much for that! Cheers PDE Hey, Patsy! Maybe I am one of the best, but the real author of this picture is then the best, ha! Thank you for your visit and, as usually kind comment! Thank you, Holger! As I explained above, the image isn't really mine, I even used elements from some others picture, but your remark makes me still happy because it means approval of my work, although merely executive! Thank you very much, Kathy! Thank you, AJ! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 312 Posted August 29, 2015 Final product of someone else idea and image it is, but it was orderedto be finalized by me!I don't know if it is all right to show it asmy image, that's why I'm admitting the truth!Thank you for yourunderstanding and your serious comments, dear colleagues!PDE Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted August 30, 2015 This is just so cleaver Pierre!!! Your young friend is being such a good model for you!! I love the 'doll' you used. Still trying to figure out how you got all the buttons to look like they were blowing in the 'wind' (his breath). Very creative! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 312 Posted August 30, 2015 Welcome and thank you, Gail! Exactly the doll is entirely imported, therefore the idea! And only the doll isn't my work on this picture! Yeah, I agree it's a clever idea and since it wasn't mine I give up praise, ha! PDE Link to comment

Not Here 93 Posted August 31, 2015 A fine finished product. The artist doesn't make the brush, the canvas, or the paint, but the final product is art. Superb work... Mike Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted September 1, 2015 I don't know what to say Pierre I see a different thing here;the boy is especially gifted to blow away bad spirits who appears in his dark vision (the dark sea and sky as background);I don't know what is the book about;my interpretation is about a boy who discovers his powers and use it;but in order to do that, he must be very innocent and clear mind as he looks like in the picture;to much imagination ?keep going Pierre , as I told you art is polysemantic... Pierre Dumas 312 Posted September 1, 2015 Bravo, Raluca! For your independence of mind and sight! Of course you can see what you see, to tell you the truth you persuaded even me to believe what you see is to be seen! Thank you very much for creative and contemplative contribution! Cheers PDE Link to comment
